Paul trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with McLay McAlister and McGibbon leaving the firm in 1988 to join a national accountancy practice. He spent five years in senior roles in the profession which included a short period of time as financial controller for a group of construction companies before setting up his own accountancy firm, The Wallace Martin Partnership, in 1993 .
After a period of rapid growth Paul merged the firm in 2001 with McLay McAlister and McGibbon where he became a partner.
Paul has a large and varied business advisory portfolio and is experienced in all aspects of audit, accountancy, tax and corporate finance.
He also has a number of other business interests and holds directorships in various companies including a community based charity.
